Abigail Stiers is working on her MFA thesis in Intermedia, at the University of Maine. Her artwork explores relationships between thought and the physical world, often utilizing electronics to sense information from the body and environment.
Currently, she is doing a residency at CIANT in Prague, as part of a semester long research trip to investigate trends in art and technology.
At the University of Maine, she designed and taught a college level course in physical computing, set up a physical computing lab and was a teaching assistant for New Media classes.
