PROGRAMME 2011

The four day workshop will start in the afternoon of Sunday, February the 13th and run until the evening of Wednesday, February the 16th. We will start with an introduction to the topic and then get to know each other in an informal setting to see what everyone is working with.

The Monday is all filled with exploring Berlin's and Potsdam's creative/cultural scene. We will explore different projects and places that deal with our changed and ever changing working environments in a new/innovative way to inspire our thoughts for the following day.

On Tuesday we will have a barcamp style day where we open up the space for us all to host sessions and take part in such to allow for as much as change as possible. We bring the space, you bring the ideas! This is the chance to discuss and act with likeminded people to come up with great new ideas or share existing ones, find new cooperation partners and spread the word about important issues.

Wednesday is the day to bring all those great new ideas and approaches back together. The hosts of each session will shortly present what has been discussed or brought up in their session. This is documented and will then be turned into a publication to keep the thoughts and create a possibility to continue working on them in the future.

Excursus „barcamp“:

„BarCamp is an international network of user-generated conferences (or unconferences). They are open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by participants. The frst BarCamps focused on early-stage web applications, and were related to open source technologies, social protocols, and open data formats. The format has also been used for a variety of other topics, including public transit, health care, and political organizing.“ (Defnition in Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BarCamp)

A barcamp „is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment“. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from parti- cipants who are the main actors of the event. (Defnition on http://www.barcamp.org)

NOTE: The language of the whole workshop will be English. There will be no translation.
